how to complete sos island

Jump over on the lifeboat and a sailor will tell you the ship is sinking and you have to save people on it!  Jump in the water and use the hanging lifeboats to jump up onto the ship.
Then jump up the snow pile all the way to the top of the ship.  You’ll see a big snowball sitting on the roof.  Push it off the roof to the right,  then drop down and enter the ship..
Go through the next door marked “Enter.”  Move to the left and jump over to the next floor.  You’ll find the captain on the phone calling for survivors.  Tell him he should get off the ship.
Exit the room by going to the right and then go downstairs.  Keep moving until you see door number 6.  Go inside and tell her she’s coming with you.  You’ll swim her outside to safety.
She gives you a whale song gadget in return.  Run to the left to get back on the ship.  Go inside and swim to the left, enter the door with a crate in front of it.  The lady says she can’t swim.  Make your way downstairs and swim over to the juice bar, pick up the bottle.
Throw the bottle at the cracked glass to break it.
The lady should be standing on a raft, push her over to the left.  Jump on the raft with her and throw the bottle at the glass break again.
Click on the exit door to get her off the ship.  Run back to the left to get on the ship.  You’ll have to jump on the pile of snow to be able to jump onto the ship.  Climb your way up to the top using the umbrellas to bounce up higher.
Once you reach the top of the ship, enter through the hole in the top.  Drop down to the water and click on the gear to turn on the hose.  Enter through the doorway that appears below the crate.
Swim to the top of the water then climb up the gold room.  At the top of the room, click on the lever near the blue leak.  You need to turn the gold arrows like this for the pipes to work.

A piece of machinery falls down, go up the hole it fell from.  Make your way to the right side of the room until you see the lady near the knob.  Head back to the left side of the room and turn the knob over there.
She says there are three more pipes to be fixed, swim around and find all three of them.  Turn on one knob then follow the pipe to turn on the other knob.  Do this for all three pipes.

Once you fix all the pipes, make your way to the top of the room and talk to the lady up there.  Tell her she needs to get off the ship, take her to safety.  She gives you a pipe wrench as a reward.  Head back to the ship again.
Climb up to the top of the ship again and enter through one of the holes.  Drop down then move to the right and climb up.  Push the pile of garbage over to the right.  Keep pushing it all the way down to the water.
Swim over to where the fan fell in the water and push it down further.  Go through the spot it fell down then swim over to the right and go through the door.  Jump up to the top of the room and go through the door.
Drop down and enter the next doorway.  Click on the upper left corner of the food boxes and you’ll find a guy frozen in a block of ice.  Push him over to the right into the exit doorway.
Push him off the ledge to the right, then push him off the ledge to the left.  Move the crate so he can fit down the next gap.  Then push him over to the left and then to the right.  Move the crate again then push him off the ledge to the left.
Push him to the right one more time then down to the bottom of the room near the heater.  The ice block will melt and you’ll take him to safety.  The ship is now upside down but you must go back to save the captain!
Enter the ship through the hole in the side then swim down to the bottom of the room.  Make your way over to the left and swim up to the top of the water.  Then go left.  Swim down and to the left.
Then keep swimming to the left until you see the hole at the top left of the room.  Go through the hole then swim to the right to find the next hole entrance.  Now follow the path through the next room and avoid the creatures on your way.
Swim down and to the left and you’ll find the captain.  Your oxygen is low so you must hurry!  Take out the whale song gadget and use the wrench to turn it to the green area to the right.
The whale will break a hole in the ship and swim you both to safety.  The captain gives you the SOS Island Medallion as a token of his appreciation.  You’re a hero!
How did the SOS Island walkthrough help you above? We hope it helped you out with!

how to finish 24 carrot island on poptropica

  1. Talk to the crying mayor, and he will tell you that the town is deteriorating because all of their carrots have disappeared.
  2. Visit Charlie's Carrot Surplus where the clerk tells you her cat is missing, and may be by the farmhouse.
  3. Head left to Carrot Farm.
  4. Go to the old house and enter it by the chimney.
  5. Go right and take the bowl that you find next to the couch.
  6. Go back to town and visit the Carrot King Diner. Take the bowl to the waitress and ask her to fill it up with milk.
  7. Go back to the farmhouse and put the bowl down where you found it.
  8. Go to the right and climb the electric wire to get upstairs. Go left until you reach the bathroom. Turn on the shower by twisting the handles. The cat will jump out.
  9. Chase the cat back downstairs (this may take awhile, and the easiest way is to just auto-chase by clicking on the cat). The cat will drink the milk and follow you.
  10. Go back to town and give the clerk her cat. She will give you a crowbar.
  11. Go to the Carrot Factory.

At the factory:
  1. Get the blueprints from the boarded window.
  2. Climb down near the icky water to the right of the building and use the crowbar to get inside.
  3. Walk to the left until you find the Carrot Transporter.

Entering the factory:
  1. Climb up and go right. The last two moving floor sections may take a while to get past. (Try to stop between them.)
  2. Continue climbing up. Dodge the rat, and go up to the main factory room.
  3. To turn on the power, move the middle switch all the way down and the other two switches to the middle. Once it is turned on, jump up and hop on the moving claw near the top. This will take you right to the vent system.
  4. First, head for the PROCESSING ROOM (on the lower left). Use the blueprints you found earlier to find your way around the vent system.
  5. On your way to the PROCESSING ROOM, you will pick up a pair of wire cutters.
  6. If you enter the room, the robot guard will transport you out of there, to :
  7. The FREEZER room . In the FREEZER, you will find a security box. Cut the wires and leave.

The password:
  1. Go to the PRINTER ROOM. You can disable the rabbot ears controlling the worker there (who is being mind-controlled). You do this by pressing the ears' blue control button (C) when her back is turned. She will show you a piece of paper that prints out. (It reads, "System Password: fuzzybunny".)

Rabbot ears:
  1. Go to the PROCESSING ROOM. With the security system disabled, the flying rabbot guard will not appear.
  2. Release the workers from their mind control. You will see that the evil Dr. Hare's plant is stealing all the island's carrots to process into Rocket Fuel chemicals. Go to the big metal doors on the right that says EXIT. Because you don't have rabbot control ears, it drops you through the trap door instead. It will take you to a room with giant smashing machines.
  3. Make your way down the belt without getting squirted or smashed flat. At the far side, you will find a pair of rabbot ears. Climb out.

How to defeat Dr. Hare:
  1. Make sure you are wearing your rabbot ears when you go to EXIT door.
  2. The door will open and Dr. Hare will be waiting for you. He assumes you are under his control and orders you to launch the GIANT SPACE RABBOT.
  3. Climb up Dr. Hare's rabbot and go to the right side by the computer. Deactivate the person's rabbot ears so he will let you use the computer. Type in the password from before (fuzzybunny) and the task (launch rabbot).
  4. A little screen will pop up, kind of like a video game. Use the joystick to steer the GIANT SPACE RABBOT into the meteors to crash it.
  5. When you defeat Dr. Hare and his rabbot, follow the released slave up the rope to the left, and go back to Main Street. All of the citizens are grateful.
  6. Talk to the mayor and he'll give you the 24 Carrot Island medallion.

Before you leave, check the farmhouse. The carrots are no longer being stolen.
(The sky is a pretty blue now, but its unclear whether that's due to stopping the fumes from the rocket fuel, or just a symbol of the better situation for the island.)

how to finish super power island on poptropica

The following sequence will take you through the necessary steps on Super Power Island :
  1. Arrive at the island. You can swim out left to the County Prison, where a huge green meteor has hit the building. But the guards will not let "civilians" onto the premises. (you have to be a superhero)
  2. Go to the Comic Book store. The owner is Ned Noodlehead, a superhero fan. He will give you a copy of his "Superhero Handbook" which has some clues to solving the game.
  3. Go to the "Masks and Capes" costume shop and talk to the owner. He will give you an "Official Superhero ID" card, which keeps track of your progress in catching Super-Villains.
  4. Go to the right in the store to find various Superhero Costumes and put one on if you like.
  5. You don't have to climb up the Daily Paper building to see the real Superhero on the roof (he's there, tired). He can tell you how to gain a super-power but wants you to prove yourself worthy by catching 5 criminals using only your wits.
  6. Now go to the Prison and they will treat you as a colleague. The meteor is interesting but of no value. The warden will explain that the 6 criminals have escaped and now have Super-Powers. He will give you their files, which list the villains' names and some insight on how to beat them. The prison scientist will give you special glowing "anti-power handcuffs" with which to subdue the criminals once you apprehend them.
  7. NOTE : you can save a little time by playing steps 8 to 12 here in reverse order (Crusher first, CopyCat last), but its not much shorter.
  8. Go right to the Bank, where you will find that Copycat has broken into the bank vault. When you attempt to stop her, she splits into 10 copies of herself (one is the real one) and runs off after setting off a smoke bomb to hinder your pursuit. You have to "tag" each of her forms before the smoke fills the bank. *** Key to beating CopyCat *** There will be 5 copies downstairs and 5 upstairs, and you have to take the elevator (slow). Catch the first copy on the light above the bank vault door before pursuing the others - hit one copy on the ledge to hop up. Then hit the next 2 first- floor copies, and NOW push the call button for the elevator. While it is coming, jump on the counter, then up to the overhead light to tag the 5th copy. Take the elevator upstairs and leap out before it reaches the second floor. 4 more copies can be tagged, then kayo the last one, the real Copycat. Handcuff her and you will be transported back to the Prison. You will receive a sticker on your ID saying you've beaten her.
  9. Go back right again. You can pass up the skyscraper because you cannot pursue Betty Jetty without being able to fly. Go to the Subway, where Speeding Spike has hijacked a subway train. *** Key to beating Speeding Spike *** He will run into you and knock you around. But if you jump over him enough for him to get mad and "blow his top", he can't control where he stops. When you see him red-faced, have him running toward you to the left, into the other subway cars. Jump over him and he will end up in the next car. Repeat this until he hits the wet floor and slips. Handcuff him. You will be back at the Prison to get another sticker.
  10. Go back right again, to City Park. (Pick up a hot dog from the vendor.) Sir Rebral is using his new mind power to wreck the statues there, and will hit you with rocks. *** Key to beating Sir Rebral *** If jump near him when the rocks are flying he will hit himself and get mad. Then he will attack you with huge wedges of the ground, which are pulled up to hit you. There is a large, loose rock on the ground by the restroom, and you can place it so that it hits Sir Rebral when the ground pops it up. (The best place is a little to the right of directly under him.) Cuff him for your 3rd sticker.
  11. Go back right, to the Restroom at City Park. You will go down into the sewer where Ratman is hiding with his pet rats and stinging flies. Go left and find the red water-control wheel. This will lower the water until you can see another red wheel, to the right, which will raise the level again. Now you can swim over to the left side where the Sewer Door is. Entering the sewer, go on the right side and jump over the biting rats to find the red wheel that drains sludge onto Ratman. *** Key to beating Ratman *** First jump past the rats and douse him using the wheel. Then avoid the flies to get back to him to cuff him. You get your 4th sticker at the Prison.
  12. Go all the way right to the Junkyard. Crusher is pounding the ground, and throwing barrels. ***Key to beating Crusher *** The pounding knocks you down, so you have to jump up on a regular time interval. Work your way right, then left until you reach the lower barrel. From there you can jump over Crusher and climb up to the cab of the Magnetic Crane. The first time, you shut it off using the switch. This drops the fridge on Crusher and he starts throwing barrels. Repeat your earlier jumping and avoid the barrels when he throws them. The second time you turn the magnet back on : it draws the metal plate he's standing on and "flattens" him. Cuff him and get your 5th sticker.
  13. If you go past the telephone booth, you will see that the phone is ringing. Before you answer, you can go to the top of the Daily Paper building to see the superhero. But you don't have to : answer the phone and you receive your Super Flying Power! (it doesn't work on other islands, or on the "ad spaces")
  14. Go right to the cordoned-off skyscraper. Fly to the highest ledge and go up. ***Key to beating Betty Jetty*** Don't get hit with her power-stealing energy balls. After 5 hits you will fall, and have to start the pursuit over. When you get close enough (after about six groups of balls), knock her from the sky. She is not defeated yet! But Ned Noodlehead "saves the day", and gets your Medallion!
  15. Go to confront Ned at the comic book store. He might be hungry. Offer him your Hot Dog.
NOTES : You cannot catch crooks without getting an ID and the handcuffs/files. You cannot get a costume without an ID, but you can get an ID and not a costume. If you turn the water wheel right next to the Sewer Door, it will get too deep, so don't do that. The game seems to have gotten a bit mixed up, because you can answer the phone without ever talking to the Superhero.

how to finish nabooti island on poptropica

Leaving the blimp, go to the Museum. Go to the Nabooti Totem pole and get the map. Then go to the plane at the left and get in the seat (FLY). The first place you should go is anywhere but Safari, Diamond mines and Giza. Locations of the 5 Jewels: Blue Nile Falls, Mountains of the Moon, Kaya Forests, Giza, and the Diamond Mines. So first go to:

The Blue Nile Falls - Get the chicken, fox, and corn feed across like this: First go across with the chicken, then with the feed but bring the chicken back. Then take the fox across then go back and get the chicken. The woman will tell you about a cave behind a bush (on a rock to the right side). You can jump hard to the far right, or climb from below. In the cave, you must jump off the tall stones as soon as you land on them. After you get the Purple Jewel, climb up the left side of the falls to get the blue Egyptian Lily and return to Nabooti. Go to the lady at the stand that says "collects rare flowers" and give the flower to her, in exchange for the turban. Then go to the :

Mountains of the moon - In the top left corner, get the opuntia fruit (cactus pear) and watch out for the goats and huge boulders. (This can be frustrating because you can easily fall all the way back down.) Go to the top right corner near the ice - beat the old man at Mancala (*see related question). Go in the cave, and get the cell phone. On the right side of the cave, get the Red Jewel. Then go to:

Giza - Put on your turban and one of the tomb raiders will give you a shovel. You will see that a valuable item was recovered by the adventurer Vince. Go to the Kaya forests.

Kaya Forests - Use the opuntia fruit to lure the tortoise away, and dig up the ebony elephant statue. There is also a gold nugget in the palm tree next to the second hut. Go to Nabooti and swap the nugget for a camera, and the elephant for the missing "fingo". Return it to the spirits in Kaya to get the Green Jewel. Go to Giza.

Giza - On the shovel, there is a phone number 555-6789. While Vince answers and his men run off, go to the bag and get the moonstone. Put it atop the Sphinx statue and the door will open. Keep walking forward until you reach a series of dashes ( -|-- ) on the wall. When you click on one, the other three rotate by 90°. So press each one of the horizontal lines (-) exactly once and they will all line up (----). This allows you to take the upper path and avoid the scorpion.
When you reach the set of four blocks, push them off either side to recreate the design on the wall below. This will open the wall. Push one or more across to jump from. When you climb down the rope and reach the chamber, the floor will collapse (unless you made note of the four hieroglyphics in the entryway and jumped on the right blocks) Remember the 4 symbols in ascending order (man, sea, bird, eye) and jump on only those blocks to reach the top of the chamber. (You will find the rope hanging down to get back up.) When you reach the top blocks, quickly jump to the next rope. For the last puzzle, there are 2 big statues and 4 little statues. Count the dots on the bellies of the little ones. Flip the switches that drop each little statue in order (1 dot, 2 dots, 3, and 4) before the sand covers the switches. The small mummy case opens to reveal the Blue Jewel
*There is a reset switch in the left passage if you fail.

Safari - Fly to the safari and get seven good photos for Zeke, who will give you a miner's hardhat. You will need it to enter the Diamond Mine.

Diamond Mine - Enter the mine area and set the timer that turns off the electric fence, then quickly scramble up the conveyor to reach the hole in the barbed wire. Jump over the mine carts to reach the elevator. Once in the mine, blast the rock and the right wall with the explosive and the sparking wire. The first explosion removes the rock, the second blasts the wall. Ride the mine cart (duck and jump) to the diamond pile. Find the White Jewel (it has a mark on it, and should be the second of the two close together at the center left).
Then go back to Nabooti, to the museum, and put the jewels into the Nabooti totem. Purple at the top, followed by green, red, white, blue. Watch what happens next...

In order to complete Back Lot Island you must first find a way inside the Grand Majestic Studio, then you have to help the famous director Carson Willis complete his film.  Unlike many other Poptropica islands, there is no villain.
  1. Part One: Enter the Studio
  2. Part Two: Get Kirk His Coffee
  3. Part Three: Monkey Around (Soundstage 4)
  4. Part Four: Build the Prop Train, Cast the Cowboys, Create the Effects (Soundstage 3)
  5. Part Five: Find Goldie, Get the Script, Find a Lead Actress, Act! (Soundstage 2)
  6. Part Six: Post Production
  7. Part Seven: World Premiere
  8. Bonus Quest

PART ONE: ENTER THE STUDIO
As always, you land on main street.  You’re immediately accosted by paparazzi who think you’re a celebrity.  Alas, you’re not.  They run off when they see former child star Willy Bingleman going into Queequeegs.
Go right and go into the One-of-a-Kind Talent Agency.  Talk to the talent agent.  She’ll send you to Harvey Scoops.  Go right to Sunrise Street area.
Head right, cross the street, at the tourists, click on the ground to see the hand and footprints of Carson Willis.  The tourists tell you Carson was one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, until his career went “off the rails”.
Keep going right until you find this guy, Harvey Scoops:
harveyScoops
Talk to him and he’ll tell you he’s investigating activity at the Old Grand Majestic Studios.  Rumor is that something’s going on inside the studio walls.  When you offer to help, Harvey asks you to climb the nearby building and take a picture for his blog.  He gives you a TELEPHOTO CAMERA.  Unfortunately, you won’t have any idea how to use this old-fashioned camera.  So, you need to find someone who can teach you.
Go left back to Main Street.  Go all the way to the left, across the road, until you find the old man with the camera around his neck hanging out in front of the Celebrity Wax Museum.  Use the TELEPHOTO CAMERA.  He’ll give you CAMERA FILM.
Now go back to Sunrise Street to the green and purple building, Juan’s Celebrity Souvenirs.  Jump up until you’re all the way at the top and right on a small balcony. Use the CAMERA FILM. Then use the TELEPHOTO CAMERA.  You’ll be looking through the lens into the studio.  You’ll see a man with a beard and then…
Earthquake!  The balcony collapses and you fall inside the walls of the studio.
When you wake up, you’re in a mystical land of waterfalls and castles with a small dog barking at you.  It’s the magical land of…nope, sorry, you’re on a movie set in an area called the Backlot Entrance.

PART TWO: GET KIRK HIS COFFEE
Head left and click on the big gates of the studio to open them. You need them to be open later.
Now, go right until you find the doors to Soundstage 1 with the blinking “Recording in Progress” light above it.  Click on it and a woman will appear asking if you’re from studio security.  She tells you that the legendary director Carson Willis is really close to finishing his movie and that she’s his assistant director Sofia May.  She tells you it’s okay to go inside and check things out, just stay out of the way.  Enter Soundstage 1.
Inside the soundstage, walk left until you’re on the set.  Oops, you ruined the scene!  The star Kirk Strayer storms off.  Exit the soundstage and talk to Sofia.  She tells you to take the cart and go get Kirk out of his trailer.  Go right and click “Ride” on the cart.
Similar to Lunar Colony, the cart uses an overhead map which shows all the buildings inside the walls of the studio. Left clicking makes the cart accelerate.  Use the mouse to aim your cart. You’re looking for Kirk Strayer’s trailer.  Head south out of the parking lot of Soundstage 1 until you’re on the main studio street.  Keep going south until you come to an intersection.  Go east, then north into the parking area.  Kirk’s trailer is in the north part of the lot.  Click on the trailer.
Talk to the director, who’ll tell you there’s no movie without the star.  Click on the trailer door.  Kirk will tell you that he’ll come out if you refill his half-caf, double…wait, half-caf, latte, double espresso…wait…it’s a half-caf leviathan latte-espresso!  Pick up KIRK’S empty HALF-CAF LEVIATHAN LATTE-ESPRESSO CUP.  Time to head to the Queequeeg’s Coffeehouse!
Get back in your cart, go south out of Kirk’s trailer lot, go west to the intersection, go north and then west to the water tower and the parking lot for Soundstage 1.  Click on Sunrise Street to exit.  Go back to Main Street and enter the first Queequeg’s you come to, to the right of the Talent Agency.
Talk to the barista.  They’re out of half-caf leviathan latte-espresso.  But you can get a Full-Caf Infant Espresso instead by clicking on each item.  Press Buy and you’ll get an INFANT SIZED-COFFEE (full espresso).
Now go to the second Queequeg’s Coffeehouse, to the left of the Digital Dreamscapes studios.  Talk to the barista to get the menu.  Click on Latte, Infant, and Decaf to get an INFANT SIZED-COFFEE (decaf latte).
You see where this is going, right?  Kirk wants a half-caf, half-decaf, half-latte, half-espresso cup of coffee.  Go into your backpack and Use one of the INFANT-SIZED COFFEEs.  Then click on each cup and use your mouse to position the small cup over the large cup to pour it.  Once you’ve poured both: presto!  One HALF-CAF LEVIATHAN LATTE-ESPRESSO.  Phew.
Head back to Kirk’s trailer on the studio lot and click on his trailer door.  Hurrah, the coffee has calmed him and he’s ready to work again.  The director is thrilled and asks you to come see him in Soundstage 1 for some more errands.  Go back to Soundstage 1.
Camera Game
Just as you enter the soundstage, the cameraman walks off.  The director asks you to film the next scene.  Jump up on the camera platform and click on the camera. The goal is to keep Kirk in the center of the camera shot the whole time.  It’s a little tricky.  The gray circle that represents the center of the frame is sensitive, so you have to move it slowly.  At the same time, Kirk will move quickly when he gets scared or cold.  It might take a few tries. Once you get it, the director will thank you and ask you to drive around the studio and see if you can help out with other tasks to help finish the movie.
[EDIT: Okay, this can be a LOT harder if the computer you're using isn't responsive enough. The first time I tried this it only took me three tries. But when I tried to do it when I was recording, it took me over a hundred times and I still couldn't get it, because the video software was slowing my computer down too much. SO, if you're struggling with this, try shutting down all of the software except your browser OR...try a different computer.]
PART THREE: MONKEY AROUND
At the bottom right of the cart map is Soundstage 4.  Inside you’ll find Carson Willis directing Kirk in a monkey suit.  Kirk throws a tantrum and walks off.  Ready to be a star?  Walk by the gorilla mask and costume to put them on.  Then jump on the stage.
City Destroy Game
Game description: “Jump on the rooftops all the way to the top to collect the red balloon.  Be sure to pop all the green balloons on the way.”  While you’re jumping, cannons will be shooting at you, slowly lowering your “life” bar.  The trick is that you can destroy the cannons by hitting them and you can smash the army men by landing on top of them.  There’s one level that’s the toughest because it has three army men.  Try to jump on all three of them at once.  When you get the red balloon, you win.
PART FOUR: SOUNDSTAGE 3 – BUILD THE PROP TRAIN, CAST THE COWBOYS, CREATE THE EFFECTS
Soundstage 3 is on the opposite side of the studio from Soundstage 4 at the bottom left of the studio map.  The entrance is on the western side.  Take the cart there.  Sofia (boy, she gets around) tells you that the set-builder is a no-show.  You need to sift through the props to build a prop train.  Click on the large prop bag to the left.
Build the Prop Train
Using your mouse, click on the different pieces of wood to fill out the train blueprints.  There are more wooden pieces than you need, so there are multiple ways to complete each puzzle.  Below are three possible ways:

trainPropPuzzle1
trainPropPuzzle2
trainPropPuzzle3

Cast the Cowboys
Once you’ve built the train, Sofia will ask you to grab the hats and fill out the parts with out-of-work actors milling around Sunrise Street.  Jump up to the second level and grab the white and black cowboy hats.  Then exit the soundstage and head to Main Street.
Go into the first Queequeg’s and offer Willy Bingleman the BLACK HAT (use it in front of him).  Next go into the Digital Dreamscapes studio and go left until you find actor in the motion-capture suit.  Offer him the WHITE HAT.  Head back to Soundstage 3 and talk to Sofia.
Create the Stage Effects
The actors are on a treadmill.  You have three possible stage effects buttons below them: a tornado, a villain (hat), and a buffalo.  Simply hit the button when the director calls for that thing.  It’s easy.
PART FIVE: SOUNDSTAGE 2 – FIND GOLDIE, GET THE SCRIPT, FIND A LEAD ACTRESS, ACT!
Find Goldie
Exit the soundstage and jump in the cart.  Head northeast from the Soundstage 3 lot to the opposite side of the studio cart map to Soundstage 2.
Inside you’ll find assistant director Sofia May.  Talk to her and she’ll tell you that you need to find Goldie and get the script.  He’s “probably in his usual spot, head in the clouds”.  That right there is what they call a clue.
Go back to Soundstage 1 and jump up onto the roof of the soundstage.  You’ll see the pipe-smoking screenwriter, busily typing away at a screenplay. Click on him to talk to him.  His brilliant screenplay will blow away and land on Sunrise Street.  Head there.
Get the Script
There are four pages, two on Sunrise Street:
  1. stuck on the TV antenna on top of Juan’s Celebrity Souvenirs
  2. at the very top of the Chinese theater.  The sides of center part of the roof will help you bounce to reach it.
And two on Main Street:
  1. in the neon sign on top of the first Queequeg’s, to the right of the Talent Agency
  2. on the far left of the roof of the Celebrity Wax Museum
Head back to Soundstage 2 and talk to Sofia who will tell you that the script pages are out of order.  Go into your backpack and examine the page.  Use your mouse to place the gold numbers onto the correct page.
Page 1 begins: “The Many-Splendored Zephyr…”
Page 2 begins: “PILOT: ‘I know what you’re thinking. You can’t come with!’”
Page 3 begins: “PILOT: ‘What is it?’”
Page 4 begins: “The NAVIGATOR smiles bravely…”
Find a Lead Actress
Talk to Sofia again.  She tells you that the lead actress never showed up.  They need a “Lacey Williams type.”  Sofia gives you an ACTRESS HEADSHOT to match.
Go to the Talent Agency on Main Street.  Use the ACTRESS HEADSHOT next to the talent agent (who looks vaguely familiar).  Yup, it’s Lacey Williams herself!  Head back to Soundstage 2.
Act the Role of Navigator
Talk to Sofia and she’ll tell you that you need to act the role of the navigator!  Quick, get in costume.  Jump up to the dressing room at the upper left hand side of the room and click “Get Dressed”.
Now that you’re in costume and the camera is rolling, you need to remember your lines!  Did you read the script?  No?  Well, here you go…
  1. “But–”
  2. (Offer her a compass)
  3. “Safe journeys!  I’ll never forget you!”
  4. “Noooooo!”
Nice acting!  Exit the soundstage and head to the Post Production building, at the bottom of the cart map, towards the center.

PART SIX: POST PRODUCTION
Enter the Post Production building.  Inside you’ll find the director who tells you the first thing you need to do is edit the film.  Follow him into the Film Editing bay.  Click on the film editing machine.
Film Editor
“Can you find the mistake?  Scrub through each scene and locate the frame with the error, then splice it out with the razor.”  You’ll see three rolls of film.  In each roll is something that is off.  The first one has a yellow banana, the second one has a boom mic in shot, and the third one has stuffing coming out of the bear.  Use the bar at the bottom of each roll to move it forward or backward one frame at a time.  When you see the mistake, click on the razor blade at the right.  Then left click and hold to cut between the green lines.  Cut above the film cell and below it to splice it out.  Do it three times to finish.
Click on the director who will tell you it’s time to add sound.  Follow him into the sound editing bay to the right.  Click on one of the sound effect props.
Foley Sound
“Each of the scenes needs four sounds added at the right time.  Click on the correct sound when you see the indicator flash on screen.”  There are 16 sound effect (SFX) buttons along the bottom.  In the middle is a rolling film.  At the top is a digital screen which will flash and tell you which SFX button to hit.
First clip:
  1. Rain (rustling paper)
  2. Thunder (metal sheet)
  3. Balloon popping (balloon)
  4. Balloon hitting water (cup of water)
 Second clip:
  1. Fireplace (match and can)
  2. Plates rattling (plates)
  3. Bear growling (bear)
  4. Ghost moaning (ghost)
Third clip:
  1. Buffalo (buffalo)
  2. Horses galloping (coconuts)
  3. Train (brushes and whistle)
  4. Punch (paddle and meat)
Fourth clip:
  1. Airplane (fan)
  2. Kong landing on building (anvil hitting box)
  3. Gorilla howl (gorilla)
  4. Kong falling (bottle)
Follow the director and talk to him.  He’ll give you FILM REELS to deliver to the theater while he has mysterious other business to attend to.  Head to the Chinese theater on Sunrise Street.

PART SEVEN: THE WORLD PREMIERE
Sofia May is waiting for you in front of the Chinese Theater.  The marquee shows: “Now Playing: The Many-Splendored Zephyr, The new film from Carson Willis, World Premiere”.  Talk to Sofia and she’ll explain Carson’s behavior.  Then enter the theater.
You need to get to the projector.  Jump up onto the stage at the far right, then onto the theater boxes with the critics in them.  Jump across them into the balcony.  Then head left to the projector.  Go into your backpack and use the FILM.  Enjoy the movie!
Once the movie’s over, head outside to get your medallion.  Congratulations, you just completed Back Lot Island!

BONUS QUEST
But wait…there’s a bonus quest to be had.  Sofia tells you that a camera was left on in Soundstage 1.  The bonus quest description: “Sneak into the studio and evade security to win a new prize in this island’s bonus quest!  Plus, get a bonus prize pack of costumes and items.”
Enter the studio and go to Soundstage 1.  Jump up to the camera to grab it.  Just as you do, the Warren sisters, the owners of Grand Majestic Studios, will catch you and accuse you of trespassing.  You hightail it out of there.
Avoid Back Lot Security
“Avoid and outlast the Back Lot security.  Collect (rockets) for speed boosts.  Collect (green balls) for extra protection.”
You’ll be in your cart and need to dodge the security carts that come after you.  The trick is to just stay to the outside roads as much as possible.  Don’t try grabbing the rockets or green balls, just keep moving.  It’s a little challenging, but not super difficult.
The reward is a cool hand-held camera!  Congrats!

Our Original Post When Back Lot Island Was Announced:
Welp, it’s official!  As was previously, if unintentionally, announced earlier, the next adventure from the fine folks at Poptropica is Back Lot Island!  On the Creator’s Blog, they describe it like this:
The greatest filmmaker of all time has come out of hiding, and he needs your help to make his masterpiece. But will you be producing the next big blockbuster, or is there trouble in tinseltown? From the first frame to the final cut, it’s lights, camera, action!
Based on the great teaser trailer, this next island looks to be a really exciting journey from classic cinema to effects-laden modern action flicks. Check it out below.
Again, it’s an amazing and very cool coincidence that the island you guys came up with for our Design Our Own Island Project, ended up being the identically themed Movie Island. It’s our Poptropica wish fulfilled!
And remember that we’ll have our award-winning* video walkthroughs and written guide up as soon as we can after Back Lot Island launches. No launch date has been announced, but we’ll keep  you posted.
